Academy Inc: A Pasta-Filled Holiday

In-Person, Chef-Led Dinner Experience

With a focus on interactivity and gathering through food, we created a memorable holiday event in Academy’s Toronto HQ where guests were invited to learn how to roll pasta with chef Meghan Robbins while enjoying cocktails. The team then sat down at a big communal table to enjoy a beautiful meal together.

Air Miles: Celebrating Diverse Holiday Traditions

Series of Virtual Cooking Events with Fresh Kit Delivery Across North America

In 2021, LoyaltyOne's AirMiles Canada team had 900+ employees working in a hybrid work structure distributed across Canada. The team wanted to design a special virtual initiative for the 2021 holiday season that would connect employees, celebrate diversity, and accommodate the needs and interests of a varied team spread across Canada.

We created a series of virtual culinary experiences that celebrated diverse holiday traditions from across the world (Hanukkah, Jamaican Christmas, Indian Harvest, Lunar New Year) and encouraged employees to share about their own loved holiday traditions. 

Wealthsimple: Holiday Wreaths Across Canada

Virtual Team Holiday Event

What’s better than receiving a box of fresh fragrant, evergreen boughs on your doorstep? In collaboration with Rachel Kelly of Make Lemonade, we brought an intimate holiday wreath-making workshop to the team at Wealthsimple. In a relaxed and laid-back atmosphere, guests learnt how to make a hand-made wreaths to hang on their door and usher in the holiday spirit.

Orium: Making Hybrid Really Work

A Hybrid Holiday Celebration across Canada, US, and LATAM

Hybrid is the future of gathering and in 2022 we produced a hybrid event for Orium, a remote-first organization with headquarters in Toronto. With the goal of creating an inclusive event that included all employees regardless of where they were located, Orium's employees were invited to select from three event options which all took place on the same day (virtual gingerbread-making competition, in-person celebration at the Toronto HQ, and in-person dinner celebrations in cities across Canada and LATAM). 

Through intentional shared moments of connection across the three gatherings and a slack channel where employees shared their experiences in real-time, the event succeeded in honouring all the dedicated teammates, celebrating their successes, and boosting morale.
