Honey Peri Peri Chicken w/ Lola Adeyemi

Peri-peri, also known as Piri-Piri or Pili-Pili, means “pepper pepper” in Swahili, a language spoken in South East Africa. Peri-Peri’s main ingredient comes from a chili— specifically the African Bird’s Eye chili.

Its complex flavour can elevate the taste of marinades for protein, a spicy dip or dressing for snacks, or to spice up any meal. With its versatility to adapt to any dish and cuisine, peri-peri easily grew in popularity around the globe.

Simple, informative, and delicious; This virtual cooking workshop with chef and food entrepreneur Lola Adeyemi will nourish your team’s minds and bodies.

Meet Your Chef: Lola Adeyemi

Like many things of beauty, “It’s Souper” began as a dream and a way to find a place in a diverse community for Nigerian-born Lola Adeyemi, but it has since grown far beyond that.

After pursuing a Bachelors Degree at the University of Winnipeg – Manitoba, Lola came to Toronto with big dreams and worked successfully as an IT Consultant for many years. All through her career, she was always happy to bring a unique Nigerian dish to every potluck to the amazement and joy of her coworkers; she even won the best potluck meal a couple of times with medals to show for it! It was absolutely gratifying for her taking back empty Tupperware home with rave reviews. The roots for a brand that would bring joy to people’s homes through food was starting to grow.

Lola’s Afro-Fusion Gourmet Soup and Sauce line was inspired by the fusion of cultures that exists in Canada, a yearning for authentic flavours from Africa, and a desire to share them with her community. #Soupislove
