Playing with Flowers w/ Make Lemonade

In a world filled with meetings, zoom calls, and extra-long documents, it's important to be reminded that your body and mind are capable of being physically present away from a screen. Mental health month is upon us, and what better way to calm your nervous system than taking part in the mindful art of floral arranging?

Floral arranging, just like taking time for self-care, is a celebration of living in the moment. Led by Make Lemonade's Creator & Lead Designer, Rachel Kelly, participants will be guided through a friendly and approachable flower-arranging workshop. On-site, participants will have access to all the tools and materials to create a beautiful one-of-a-kind arrangement to take home. Along with a newfound confidence in creating arrangements, participants will learn easy-to-follow floral care tips to extend the life of their arrangements.

Bring flowers, colour, life, and mental health awareness with an in-person workshop at your office.

Meet Your Florist: Rachel Kelly

Like a lot of small business owners, Rachel’s journey wasn't linear, but what makes her stand out is her eternal optimism and passion for colour. From the opening (and closing) of her coworking office, crafting email magic, to whipping up unique floral creations, good design is at the heart of everything she does.

Rachel had an epiphany in the midst of the pandemic: her dreams were bigger than the work she was doing on her laptop, so she went after ‘em.

With a degree in fine arts, a sharp set of snips and an eye for design, she jumped at the opportunity to go to Toronto Flower School to scratch an itch. The itch became a full-on career switch!

From hauling tonnes of greens for milestone celebrations, scaling 15ft ladders to craft hanging installs for brand launches, to wrapping bouquets for your kitchen table, Rachel loves every moment of making flower magic.
