Brazilian Brigadeiros w/ Eu Brasileiro
Bring your team together for a meaningful chocolate experience and learn how to make brigadeiro truffles with Brazilian pastry chef and food entrepreneur Matheus Brasileiro of Eu Brasilero Treats.
You’ll learn about the fascinating history of brigadeiros in Brazil and how this dessert is linked to a handsome Brazilian politician and air force brigadier. Like many iconic foods, the brigadeiro has a disputed origin story, but one prominent tale is that women sold these truffles at Gomes’ rallies for president in 1945 and called them “brigadeiros” in his honour. Women were critical to Gomes’s campaign efforts because he ran in the first national election in which at least some women were allowed to vote.
Enjoy a guided chocolate experience as you learn how to make, roll, and decorate your own custom brigadeiros. You’ll receive paper cups and a chocolate box so you can gift some of your chocolates to a loved one in your life. After all, brigadeiros are for sharing
