Studio Coordinator
Full-Time (40 hrs/wk) | Toronto, ON (Hybrid) | $40,000–$45,000
About Care/Of
Care/Of Productions is an experienced and growing Toronto-based production studio creating high-end culinary events and experiences for a range of corporate and private clients. We produce everything from intimate dinners and high-end brand activations to large off-site events and virtual experiences.
We care deeply about the details: the menu, the talent, the flow of a room, and the moment a guest walks in and feels that this is different. We collaborate with a unique roster of talent: chefs, sommeliers, artists, designers, and more.
We're a small, fast-moving team with high standards and a lot of autonomy. There are no five levels of approval here. If you have an idea, you make it happen. If something isn't working, you fix it. We trust our people to own their work and take real pride in what we collectively produce. We move fast, support each other, and don't take ourselves too seriously. We make mistakes, learn from them, and keep going.
Our culinary studio is located in the Stockyards in Toronto’s west end, which acts as our office, production hub, and event space for some client events.
The Opportunity
We're looking for someone at a point in their career who is hungry, switched-on, and genuinely excited about food, hospitality, and events. You don't need ten years of experience — you need taste, personality, and the drive to learn fast and do great work.
This role sits at the center of the Care/Of studio: keeping things running, representing the brand to incoming clients, supporting the founder across production, admin, and finance, and being a warm, confident presence on event days. It's a real role with real responsibility from day one, and it grows as you grow.
This role is a direct mentorship opportunity with the founder. You'll be in the room for client conversations, creative decisions, and the business side of running a studio. If you grow with us, there is a real path to more — into production, event leadership, or creative direction. We are building a team for where we are going, and the right person grows with us.
The Role
Studio Management: Own the day-to-day health and organization of the Care/Of studio. Manage inbound rental and studio inquiries from first response through confirmation — qualifying leads, sending the studio deck, handling contracts and invoices, and keeping ClickUp current. Maintain studio standards and catch issues before they become problems.
Founder’s Assistant & Admin: Support the founder across active projects: building decks and proposals, coordinating with talent and vendors, managing invoicing and contracting, managing calendars and follow-ups, and keeping the business organized behind the scenes. You'll touch a lot of what we do — events, clients, systems, and creative work. You will report directly to the founder.
Client & Guest Experience: Be a warm, confident host for in-studio events and client touchpoints. You're the face people meet when they walk in. You make them feel like they're somewhere special. Work closely with our Events Manager on event-day execution, including occasional evenings and weekends.
Micro Wedding Portfolio: Manage the Care/Of micro wedding inquiry pipeline: responding to leads, sending packages, coordinating details, and supporting execution. This is a streamlined, well-set-up portfolio — you'll be maintaining and improving it, not building from scratch.
Systems & Operations: Help maintain the templates, workflows, and documentation that keep the business running smoothly — talent files, studio guides, post-event checklists, and more.
Who You Are
You have a background in hospitality, food, or events — maybe you've worked front-of-house, catered events, or supported productions. You understand what it means to be "on" in a room and why the details matter.
Experience in high-end restaurant or culinary environments is a strong asset — if you understand what makes a dining room feel exceptional, we’d love to chat.
You have taste. You care about food, design, and atmosphere. You can tell the difference between an event that's fine and one that's special — and you want to be part of making the latter.
You're personable, warm, and confident with people. Clients trust you quickly. You know how to read a room.
You're organized without being rigid. You can hold a lot of moving pieces and still notice the one thing that's off.
You're ambitious and want to grow. You're looking for somewhere your effort actually matters.
You're comfortable working evenings and weekends as needed.
You're ready for a new chapter. Maybe you've spent years in restaurants or hospitality, and you're looking for a role that keeps you close to the food world — but gives you weekday mornings, a creative environment, and a more diversified career path.
