Join your colleagues for a fun afternoon learning to make delicious Mexican food using good-quality ingredients and simple methods.
As you're cooking, José will share the cultural background of the dishes, and handy cooking tips throughout the class. This workshop will be a delicious blend of food, culture, and storytelling, all rolled into one enjoyable experience.

Meet Your Chef: José Matamoros
Born in Mexico, José Matamoros has worked in kitchens across Italy, France, and Canada. Upon opening Guelph’s “La Reina”, he worked as Senior Sous Chef at El Catrin in Distillery District, arguably the biggest and busiest Mexican restaurant in Canada.
José is one of our most popular chefs, and he loves bringing a local, seasonal focus to cooking workshops. He's currently Chef de Cuisine of 1Kitchen at Toronto's 1Hotel, which is focused on local and sustainable farm-to-table cuisine.
