Virtual Holiday Event Series w/ AirMiles

We were approached by LoyaltyOne's AirMiles team. LoyaltyOne has 900+ employees working in a hybrid work structure distributed across Canada. The team wanted to design a special virtual initiative for the 2021 holiday season that would connect employees, celebrate diversity, and accommodate the needs and interests of a varied team spread across Canada. Ensuring the initiative was inclusive was central to our goals for the event series and featured interactive culinary experiences exploring holiday traditions across cultures. This included events celebrating Jamaican Christmas, Hannukah, Lunar New Year and the Indian Harvest Festival led by top chefs. Event kits were delivered to recipients across Canada.

The event series was a resounding success, welcoming 800+ attendees and receiving a 92% satisfaction rate on our post-event survey.

Nuit Blanche @ Aga Khan Museum

Curation and artistic project management of all-night contemporary art event Nuit Blanche at Aga Khan Museum and Ismaili Centre as part of the City of Toronto’s Major Institutions partnership program for the city-wide event in September 2018 & 2019.

Envisioning Toronto as a site shaped by continuous arrivals and valuable encounters between people from all over the world— the 2018 event took shape through cultural exchanges between over 8000 visitors and 80 artists in more than 30 performances and two installations in 10 unique spaces — from a Mongolian yurt to an All-American Airstream.

Canada150 @ City of Toronto

As Programming Supervisor, Care/Of helped to lead the curation and production of Canada Days events celebrating Canada’s 150th birthday at four locations across the city. The festivities were attended by over 225,000 people.

We were responsible for booking the cultural content for the Humber Bay Park site as well as helping to lead the production of the event. The artistic lineup proudly featured over 75% of acts that were led by women including the three head-lining spots as well as an 40-person execution team that achieved a 50:50 gender balance.

Artists included Canadian Icons like Buffy St Marie and Drake.

Mural Fest @ Stackt Market

Hired by stackt market, we led the festival pre-production and execution for Mural Festival’s inaugural Toronto Block Party. Featuring live mural creation by six artists, the event activated stackt’s entire footprint through sponsor activations, vendors, food, panel discussions, and live music.
